FX Reporter
FX Reporter is a personal lifestyle app designed for individuals who want to help track and document fireworks activity in their community. With an easy-to-use interface, the app enables users to report fireworks sightings directly to a secure, cloud-based map.
Whether you’re concerned about fire safety, noise disturbances, or illegal fireworks use, FX Reporter gives you the ability to:
• Pinpoint locations where fireworks are observed
• Capture and upload photos
• Submit reports each time you witness fireworks (you may opt for anonymous reporting)
ALL FIREWORKS ARE ILLEGAL IN LOS ANGELES. Many residents want a simple way to log and share concerns—FX Reporter meets that need.
Important: FX Reporter is not a replacement for emergency services. If you witness a fire, injury, or property damage, please call 911 immediately. If you wish to report fireworks in general, please call 311.
Informational Reporting Only
FX Reporter provides a public heatmap showing where fireworks are most frequently reported. While local fire and police agencies may view this data to monitor patterns, the app is strictly for informational purposes and does not initiate enforcement or emergency response.
Your specific street address is never shared. However, you must look up the street address and enter that for the pin to appear on the location you’re reporting, as opposed to the street you live on - or the street from where you’re making the report.
Designed for Los Angeles County
Currently, FX Reporter is tailored for use across Greater Los Angeles County. Future updates may expand availability to other communities seeking proactive tools to promote safety and awareness.
